The City of Kearney partnered with Miller & Associates to develop a new dedicated pickleball complex at Harvey Park. The project was designed to provide high-quality recreational facilities while allowing for future expansion as participation continues to increase.
Our team provided comprehensive engineering services beginning with preliminary site planning and design, followed by final construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimating. The initial phase included construction of four dedicated pickleball courts with a site layout specifically planned to accommodate future expansion to six or eight courts without disrupting the overall park layout.
Miller & Associates also assisted the City during the procurement process by preparing bidding documents and supporting contractor selection. Throughout construction, our team provided construction observation services, coordinated project meetings, reviewed contractor submittals, monitored construction progress, and assisted with final project closeout to help ensure the facility was constructed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
The completed pickleball complex has become an important recreational amenity for the City, providing dedicated court space for players of all ages while supporting healthy lifestyles, community recreation, and future park development.
