Miller & Associates partnered with the City of Lexington to design and construct the Northwest Phase II extension of the City's Hike & Bike Trail within the Optimist Recreation Complex, which was funded in part by the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission. The project expanded the existing trail system, providing improved connectivity and safe, accessible recreational opportunities for pedestrians and cyclists.

The project included construction of approximately 4,600 square yards of 6-inch Portland cement concrete trail designed to provide a durable, low-maintenance facility for long-term community use. To protect the trail and surrounding infrastructure, the project also incorporated approximately 500 linear feet of 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer to improve drainage and manage stormwater runoff.

Miller & Associates provided engineering design, bidding assistance, construction engineering, and construction observation throughout the project. The completed trail extension enhances connectivity within the Optimist Recreation Complex while supporting the City of Lexington's continued investment in active transportation, recreation, and quality of life.
