Water Supply

About

Miller & Associates provides engineering services for water supply systems that help utility systems deliver safe, reliable, and efficient drinking water service. Our team designs and improves water infrastructure systems that support everyday operations, fire protection, regulatory compliance, and long-term community growth.

We evaluate existing infrastructure, water demands, storage capacity, pressure requirements, water quality considerations, and future expansion needs to develop practical and cost-effective solutions tailored to each community. Our experience includes water supply planning, storage facilities, treatment systems, transmission mains, distribution networks, and related infrastructure improvements designed to enhance system reliability and long-term performance.

Throughout planning, design, permitting, and construction, we coordinate closely with communities, operators, regulatory agencies, and contractors to help projects move forward efficiently and successfully. Our approach emphasizes practical engineering, regulatory compliance, and long-term system sustainability to support dependable water service.

Water Supply Projects

BIC Water System Regionalization

South Central Nebraska

Miller & Associates partnered with five south-central Nebraska communities to develop one of the region's first regional water supply systems. The project replaced multiple aging and non-compliant water sources with a shared regional system that improved water quality, reduced costs, and ensured long-term regulatory compliance.

Project Features

  • Regional Water System Planning
  • Preliminary Engineering Report (PER)
  • Regional Wellfield Development
  • Three Production Wells
  • Future Well Expansion
  • 23 Miles of Transmission Main
  • Ground Storage Reservoir
  • Booster Pump Station
