Archeology & Historic Preservation
Many projects that involve state and federal agencies require archeology surveys. Some are more basic “pedestrian” surveys while others are more intensive, requiring test sites and/or trenching. Often working with the Nebraska State Historic Preservation Office, we understand both the sensitivity and importance of each project. With many archeology studies the focus is on artifacts yet there is also a connection to the existing built environment.
We have conducted both stand alone historic preservation surveys as well as examples connected to archeology projects. Recent projects have been completed in Hall County (sewer extension), Gage County (irrigation project) as well as Superior, Nebraska (cellular tower project) and McCook, Nebraska (industrial park expansion).
