Economic Development

Miller & Associates considers economic development as a catalyst for community vitality.  To that end, we have a proven track record of assisting individuals and communities with economic development plans tied to quality of life issues.  A recent project, for example, involved the City of Kearney, Buffalo County, Buffalo County Economic Development, and The Buckle Corporation in the design and construction of a distribution facility.  With more than 200,000 square feet, the facility created fifty full-time jobs and included water main, sanitary sewer, and paving expansions and improvements.  The collaboration involved $2.6 million in funding from the Economic Development Administration (EDA), Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED), and City/County Re-Use Funds.

Another recent project involved the City of Kearney and the Buffalo County Economic Development Council in determining a suitable location for a Data Center/Technology Park in northeast Kearney.  Miller & Associates has assisted many other communities and organizations with similar economic development projects, including Gothenburg, Lexington, Ravenna, Cambridge, McCook, Scribner, Imperial, the West Central Development District, the Northeast Development District, South Central Economic District, Central Economic District, Southeast Economic District, and Dawson Area Development.
